Quicksilver Industries: 'Margay' DMR by Shockwave9001 Quicksilver Industries: 'Margay' DMR by Shockwave9001
Quicksilver Industries received a lot of feedback from Dutch special forces who operated with the Margay PDW in Mali, Africa. By taking their wishlist and advice to heart, the Margay weapon system has been taken to a new level. The grip and magazine release have been redesigned, as well as the ejection port and cheek rest. An ammunition counter has been added, and the weapon features built-in flip up iron sights now. The Margay DMR is fitted with QSI's brand new InfraRed sighting system.

Quicksilver Ind. produces top of the notch firearms made for easy and cheap mass production, while maintaining very high quality. Our firearms will always be fully ambidextrous, two toned, operator-friendly and accessory-friendly.

It's been over a month since my last build, and I guess that's because I was lacking mainly motivation to PMG. I was also uninspired, but I think the lack of motivation hit me harder. Anyways, it felt great building again, and I hope I'm not that rusty ;-) I hope you like this weapon as much as I do.

Yours truly,
~ Shockwave

What program did you use this in, because this does not look like the PMG I know...

Also, as a striving designer myself, I'd like your apparently professional advice, because this looks pretty damn cool, man.

Thanks a whole lot, my friend.
This is in fact PMG, 100%. The weapon is primarily built up using shapes, which I'm fairly sure you know where to find. Shapes are the key to everything in PMG. Check my Flickr account, I posted a lot of PMG parts there. Import the code, and ungroup them to find out how they're made.

Looks like the Cod: Advanced Warfare weapons. Did you do some artwork for them? If not, I suggest they hire you.

I did not, but I'll gladly agree with you, they really should hire me hahaha
Thanks for the compliment, my friend!

I'd rather you make guns for APB as it would make use of the fact you only make ambidextrous firearms. Unfortunately, I hold you to a hire expectation than APB as well. They could use a better artist... And better staff in general... Save us? Also, I made a DeviantArt account just to follow your work. Keep it up!

I can see why you would say that. It's the suppressor that looks like a giant barrel, isn't it?

I like all your weapons a lot, but I'd love to see something with ambidextrious use in mind- especially because in my own operatinal experience, especially when it comes to MOUT, you need to be able to switch to your off hand. Most of the bullpup designs you have wouldn't be usable by lefties because the shell would be ejecting right into their face! I love your stuff, keep up the good work!

First off, I'm glad you like my work :)
I don't know what MOUT is, but the firearms I design are all fully ambidextrous, this also means there's an ejection port on the left side. I only show right sides of my firearms in most cases, because the left side wouldn't look much different because they're ambidextrous. My 'Markhor' SMG does show the left side as well, you can see an ejection port cover on the left side.

Hell yeah! I only used Paint.NET to screencap it in parts and stitch it together for a high quality image.

Your PMG skills were awesome! I only used Pimp My Gun for recreating real guns...

Thanks! And I've had my fair share of recreations! At first I wasn't that good at designing my own original firearms, so I started recreating existing parts and firearms for others to use. But something just flipped the switch when I set up quicksilver. And now I can hardly recreate anything because I think it's boring, haha!
